Shiloh Ladies Club and Mission Committee to Make Donations
The Shiloh United Methodist Church Ladies Club has voted to spend $400.00 to purchase shoes for Callaway Hills and North School students. The administrators at both schools stated that many of these students are coming to school in thongs, and have nothing else to wear. With winter fast approaching, the Ladies Club wanted to provide the shoes, so that the children could come to school with warm and dry feet.
Shiloh's Mission Committee has also voted to provide assistance to the community. With the increase in families taking advantage of the SERVE food pantry at Shiloh, it was noted that many of these families would not be able to provide a turkey meal on Thanksgiving. The Mission Committee voted to purchase 75 turkeys to give to those that are registered for the November food distribution. Only one turkey will be provided per family.
